School Project

Kinsley has her first school project due this Friday. Since I was off of work today, we decided to get it done early. She was sent home with an outline of a turkey and her assignment was to decorate it any way she wanted.

Here is the finished product:

When she was all done with her project she decided to have her snack outside since it was "such a beautiful day":

Halloween 2014

Kinsley had asked me to be Little Red Riding Hood about 2 months before Halloween was here. I thought she would change her mind about 10 times, but luckily she didn't. I was super thankful that she didn't ask to be Elsa or Ana from Frozen (there were enough of those on Halloween).

Here is Kinsley showing Daddy what she got:

Kinsley was really into trick or treating this year. It was really cool to watch her literally sprint from one house to the next with a smile on her face the whole time. Let's just say she ended up being sleeping beauty by the end of the night. ;)

Bugs and Kisses

These are the treats that Kinsley and I made for her class!

1st day of PreK 4

This is a really late post of Kinsley's first day of PreK 4. I was playing on my computer the other night and came across this picture. I must of completely forgotten that I had taken it.

She has two wonderful teachers this year, as she did last year. Most of the students in her class are her friends from last year, and there are some new ones too. Kinsley now knows almost every student in the school ranging from PreK 3 all the way to 8th grade. She has developed some special friendships with some of the teachers and older students. It is really great to see Kinsley growing into a social butterfly.

Keith and I were invited to the first quarter award ceremony for the school yesterday. It was really cool because Kinsley had no idea that we were coming and she had no idea that she was getting an award. As they called her name, she looked at me with this really excited look on her face and then took the stage to accept her award. Kinsley received the highest award of "Student of the Quarter". Keith and I couldn't have been more proud! This was in addition to last years award of "Outstanding Christian Citizenship" that she received. Way to go Kinsley and keep up the good work!

Cooking with Mommy

Here are a couple pictures of Kinsley helping me cook. We have spent a lot of time talking about how to be safe around a hot stove and what parts you can and cannot touch.

Now maybe in a couple years she can make me breakfast in bed! =)
